Studies reveal that alcoholism is linked directly to employee productivity, and also contributes to numerous car accidents. Some companies have a drug policy in place, and may want to reiterate the repercussions associated with substance abuse while on the job, as well as the health risks linked to such behavior. Employees may be sensitive to this topic, so it is wise to tread lightly when introducing the subject; however, you’ll likely experience encouraging feedback if your discussion highlights the positive reasons for eliminating drug or alcohol abuse.
5) Improve Office Comfort
Small adjustments inside the office can make a huge difference to employee wellness. When you are situated in front of a computer for 8 hours, it can create many physical problems such as carpel tunnel, back pain, and eye strain. To reduce such effects on the body, try re-evaluating the conditions of your employees work stations. Are chairs comfortable and adjustable to accommodate all body types?
